May has been declared as MS Awareness Month.

The Mulch It - Compost It Program is returning for a third year. Each year an estimated 1000 tonnes of grass clippings enter our landfill, when they could easily be mulched back into the lawn or composted instead.

A new cell at the Yorkton landfill will be dug in the coming months.

Members of the Ukrainian dance club awed the audience at the Preeceville Spring Expo on April 16. Club members from the beginner, junior and intermediate groups performed at the trade show. Mikaela Musey is the dance instructor for the club.

The Barveenok Ukrainian Dance Club presented the annual spring concert at the Sturgis Composite High School on May 1. Mikaela Musey was the dance instructor. Lisa Serdachny was the mistress of ceremonies for the afternoon.

The women of the Preeceville St. John Lutheran Church continued addressing the challenge of making a difference in the world. Members organized a sewing bee that created 70 quilts that will comfort the less fortunate in a time of need.
