A Kamsack resident known as “the elder statesman of Saskatchewan earthmoving,” is the 2014 recipient of the Garden of Saskatchewan Citizenship Ring.

A home on Hudson Bay Avenue was destroyed by fire during the night of December 4/5. The Kamsack fire brigade was alerted to a possible structure fire at 142 Hudson Bay Saturday at 12:45 a.m., said Jim Pollock, fire chief.

Members of the Heart and Home Quilt Club in Kamsack wrapped up their season last week by showing one another their work and by preparing the nine quilt tops they made for the Victoria’s Quilts program.
