The Holdfast Trappers came out on top over the weekend at the 2012 SBA Senior AA Provincial baseball championships at Jubilee Park. The Trappers slipped by the Marysburg Royals by a 4-2 final to claim the title.

Meadow Lake Games

The opening ceremonies for the 2012 Saskatchewan Summer games were held last Sunday at Meadow Lake's Pine Ridge Ford Theatre in Lions Park to welcome 1900 athletes representing nine districts in the province.

The Yorkton Speed Swim Club has just returned from the 2012 Saskatchewan Summer Games in Meadow Lake, says coach Tonia Vermette. The Parkland Valley swimming team has combined for a total of 14 medals.
