Busy weekend for Pee Wee team

The Richardson Pee Wee Yorkton Cardinals and their Weyburn counterparts saw an awful lot of each other over the weekend. The teams met four times between Saturday and Sunday. Weyburn won three games, two of them came quite convincingly.

Rain cancellations occurred almost every second day this past week and the SESBL standings remain tight. Scheduled games for last Wednesday and Friday were rained out, including both Western Major Baseball League and the South East league.

Scholarship deal for former Cardinal

Former member of the midget AAA Cardinal baseball team Zack Sharp has accepted a baseball scholarship which will take him to Minnesota next season. Sharp, who is from Carlyle, SK., joins the college as a right-handed pitcher.
