After outscoring the opposition by a 20-1 margin over the course of the tournament, the Sacred Heart team advanced to provincials with two wins on their home pitch Saturday afternoon.

First it was the Elecs of Estevan. Then it was the much anticipated re-match against the Central Collegiate Institute (CCI) Cyclones of Moose Jaw.

Kees Yorkton took a small team of three competitors to the 29th Annual Grandmaster KH Min's tournament in Edmonton. The event had over 300 competitors. Participating was Francis Bazin, Daniel Bazin and Zane Chopik.

Skate Yorkton's Competitive skaters competed at the Sask Skate/ Sask Open event hosted by Skate Canada Saskatchewan. This event is attended by Team BC, Team Alberta, Team Manitoba and Team Saskatchewan.

The Sacred Heart senior football team finished up the 2012 regular season with a 28-26 win on home field against the Esterhazy Warriors under the lights.

The YRHS senior boys football team closed their debut season in the Moose Jaw High School Football League with a 42-12 win over the Estevan Elecs at Century Field last Tuesday.

Discussions of lights going up at the LDM area tennis court go back to prior to the hosting of the 2000 Saskatchewan Summer Games.

The YRHS playoff run in the Moose Jaw High School Football League (MJHSFL) started over the weekend at Century Field and it's going to continue there too. There were six teams to start off play in the MJHSFL playoffs and now there are three.

The Saskatchewan High School Athletics Association cross country season came to an end over the weekend.

The Highway 10 rivalry for the current Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season was renewed on the weekend, but little was settled in terms of which team is better this time around.
