Terriers take both matchups in overtime

Registration for the start of the newest league in town is available at Hometown Source for Sports. The Saskatchewan Ball Hockey League is expanding into four new cities this spring/summer. Yorkton is among the expansion cities.

Susan Nagy had been doing a lot of coaching and her experiences took her to Nova Scotia recently to join Team Saskatchewan Figure Skating for competition in the Canada games for nine days last month.

For the third year in a row, the Farrell Agencies Arena hosted at least one event that really brought the crowds out. This past Sunday, the figure skating duo of Rudi Swiegers and Paige Lawrence was one of two main shows at the arena.

The Pee Wee 'A' level Yorkton Terriers are provincial champions following their 6-3 doubling up on the North Battleford Barons Sunday afternoon at the Kinsmen Arena.

The 16 & Under Women's Asics Cups #2 volleyball tournament was held on March 26-27 at the Gallagher Centre and the Gloria Hayden Centre. Twenty-five teams from across the province competed in the 16U division.

The new Yorkton Ball Hockey League, a member league of the Saskatchewan Ball Hockey League (SBHL), will be operating in Yorkton for the first time, said SBHL president Dean Crossland.

The Yorkton volleyball club continues to play at home this weekend (March 26-27) when they host a tournament at the Gloria Hayden Centre and St. Michael's and MC Knoll.
