It has long been my expectation that farming would become a sector where robotic machinery would become a major element of operations. Talk to producers and one of the major issues they face is finding reliable staff.

When I was growing up, Christmas was always an exciting time as I eagerly awaited that moment when we got to open our presents.

Our federal government will soon legalize marijuana. I’m not saying it’s a good thing or bad thing. It is so prevalent in society something had to be done.

The generations following mine will not be able to comprehend some of the old adages, as the adages probably won’t relate to anything that they would know. What the heck is he talking about, you wonder. Well, let’s start with money.

It’s that time of the year again. In early November, I told my son Justin, “about 12months ago I gave a big sigh of relief, as the stress of Christmas was over for that year.” “Stress of Christmas you say?” asked Justin. “Well of course!” I replied.

It is the season of celebration, and that means time of family, reflection, and thoughts about the true meaning of the season. In December in an increasingly diverse Canada, Saskatchewan, and even here in Yorkton, the celebrations are now varied.
