Dear Editor: The Board of New Horizon's Senior Citizens of Yorkton Inc. wish to express our appreciation to the Federal Government for a grant of $15,874.00 toward a major renovation of our kitchen.

It is a local hockey fan's biggest dream. And, yes it holds the prospect of being a nightmare too. The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League finals has come down to our Yorkton Terriers versus their natural nemesis; the Melville Millionaires.

There are times when it very much feels like - even when we are moving forward - we're still spinning our wheels.

First thing, gardeners, I'd like to remind you that the next meeting of the Yorkton and District Horticultural Society will be held on Thursday, April 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sunshine Room at SIGN on North Street.

I have a cabin on Quadra Island off the British Columbia coast that's as close to my heart as you can imagine. From my porch you can see clear across the waters of Georgia Strait to the snowy peaks of the rugged Coast Mountains.

Dear Editor: As a participant of standardbred racing I find it appalling the unjust treatment of the standardbred industry by the Sask Party which is unprecedented by any other government.
