OUTLOOK - The Outlook Riverhawks ball team basically had a 'win some, lose some, tie some' kind of week at home.
On Monday, June 16, the team welcomed the Riverhurst Raiders to the diamond behind the Jim Kook Rec Plex, engaging in a fiery game that would see the home team take the edge and maintain it with an iron will. Nothing was going to stop the Riverhawks from taking the victory on this evening. By the time it was all wrapped up, Outlook had defeated Riverhurst by the commanding score of 16-1.
That said, things did not turn out the Riverhawks' way three nights later back at home against the visiting Dinsmore Dynamos, who brought a concrete game plan of their own with them and carried it out smoothly. For every attempt at a comeback by Outlook, Dinsmore was right there and swiftly cut them off.
By the time the score had a reached 12-1 in favor of the Dynamos, the game was called off by the 6th inning due to a mercy rule.
Outlook was hoping to regroup in time for their next game on Monday, June 23 when the Beechy Breakers came to town, but after a back and forth contest, either roster couldn't seem to get past the other, and the game concluded with a tie score of 10-10.
