As of April 6, 2020, Saskatchewan has four new, confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the provincial total to 253. One hundred and sixty-nine of the cases are considered active. These are confirmed cases, minus those reported as recovered and deaths.

The churches in Outlook have had to make major changes recently to the way they minister to their congregations, but they are working hard to bring hope and connection to the community during this COVID-19 outbreak.

From the smallest of neighborhoods to the largest of cities, people are looking for ways to help one another through the COVID-19 crisis. Many might be wondering about the local food bank and what the needs are currently.

During this time of social distancing, public events have been put on hold or cancelled outright, but those special occasions that take place right at home are feeling the effect as well.

The latest from the provincial government concerning the COVID-19 pandemic: As of April 3, 2020, Saskatchewan has 14 new, confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the provincial total to 220.

Editor’s Note: The writer of this letter was reluctant to have it published because she did not want anyone to think her concerns come from being a blood relation to one of the health providers in town.

As of April 2, 2020, Saskatchewan has 13 new, confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the provincial total to 206. Currently, there are four people in hospital in the province.

With new information coming in everyday related to the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s vital that people in cities, towns and villages have an idea of how their community leaders are approaching the escalating situation.
