The 1 2 3 Care For Me Daycare Halloween toy bingo held in Sturgis on October 29 was said to have been fun for all ages. "There were approximately 50 children in attendance," said Rhonda Olson, one of the organizers.

Halloween is a time for ghosts and goblins and children going door-to-door for candy but for Andrew Wasylenchuk of Sturgis it has always meant more.

During Education Week (October 16 to 20) students and staff at the Preeceville School were acknowledged for all their hard work. This year, the theme of Education Week focused on “Building Our Future by Learning together.

The 1, 2, 3 Care For Me Daycare in Sturgis hosted its Terry Fox Run on September 28. Children and helpers canvassed the Town of Sturgis businesses and along with random donations they raised $671.
