Preeceville Progress

The Preeceville and District Heritage Museum is now closed after another successful year.

Keri Gardner and her family, who have faced an uphill battle trying to identify her husband Rod’s illness for a number of months, recently received a diagnosis. The family had to travel to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. to get that diagnosis.

The Preeceville Panthers junior girls volleyball team toppled all its opponents with no losses recorded throughout an entire tournament in Canora on September 29 and 30.

The Preeceville School Community Council spearheaded a community garden project that provided a learning opportunity for students. The organizers and students harvested the vegetables on September 29.

Concert seekers enjoyed the Celtic concert featuring the musical duo of Darrel and Saskia Delaronde, who perform as The Great Plains. The Trinity United Church in Preeceville sponsored the concert on September 30 to a packed house.

The Town of Preeceville hosted a cultural day with many community members showcasing elements of the many cultures in and around the community.

I write to address the September 14 edition of the Preeceville Progress article “Hospital emergency and acute beds issues at Preeceville Hospital,” which contained inaccuracies and incomplete information that I wish to clarify.

Preeceville School athletes have been working hard towards their goal of representing their school at all cross-country meets held this fall.
