Lawrence Chomos, the chairman of the Sunrise Regional Health Authority, has resigned from the board that he has served on for the past nine years. Chomos was first appointed to the Sunrise Regional Health Authority as a board member in March of 2007.

Internet and technology safety was the focus of numerous presentations at the Preeceville School. Students from kindergarten to Grade 12 were divided into age-related classroom groups with the intention to educate students hosted on April 21.

Princess’ Knight is a historical romance novel set in the medieval era that follows the blossoming love of two characters that face numerous challenges throughout the book.

Hospital auxiliaries from across the District 3 region attended the annual Saskatchewan Health Care auxiliaries association annual meeting. The meeting was hosted by the Preeceville Hospital Auxiliary at the Club 60 on April 20.

Teams from Preeceville, Sturgis, Kamsack and Norquay battled for the opportunity to advance to districts in Yorkton in senior pre-district badminton play on April 19. Preeceville School hosted the event with players in singles and doubles facing off.

The Crossroads Credit Union hosted an annual informational banquet meeting at the Sturgis Community Hall on April 18. The meeting was one of three, with the others being held in Margo on April 19 and in Canora on April 20.
