Yorkton This Week

The Yorkton Pee Wee AA Hockey Tournament is under way at the Kinsmen Arena. Action in the event which wraps up Sunday included action Friday afternoon with the Yorkton CWB Terriers facing off against the Regina Tigers.

Action is already under way at the Lady Saints Invitational Volleyball Tournament. The tournament is a seven-team round robin format, running today and tomorrow (Friday and Saturday) at the Sacred Heart High School Gymnasium.

The Saskatchewan Rush have signed Holden Garlent and Travis Cornwall to one year agreements. Garlent was drafted 4th overall by the Rush in the 2019 NLL Entry Draft.

On Oct. 12 , at approximately 9:10 PM, Yorkton RCMP, Yorkton Fire Department and Yorkton EMS were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on highway #309 approximately 6 KM east of the #9 junction, Sask .

The Indian Head RCMP are investigating the theft of two generators that were stolen from a work site on Otterloo Street in Indian Head. The theft occurred sometime between Oct. 11 and Oct. 16.
