Partners in Settlement and Integration began under SaskAbilities as a way to help immigrants overcome barriers as they joined our community.

The Yorkton Municipal RCMP will continue to receive a grant for community policing. The city will receive $330,000 to fund three police officers in the city through the program, part of a province-wide initiative to combat crime in the province.

The Yorkton RawTec Maulers hosted their third annual Paint the Rink Pink fundraiser game on Saturday, November 18. The event raised $3,407.90 to the Canadian Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research.

The Yorkton RawTec Maulers had two games in Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League action last weekend, as they hosted the Saskatoon Contacts on Saturday and Sunday.

THOMPSON - Clifford Durwin "Kip" Thompson, 1927 - 2017. Clifford Durwin Thompson was born on May 2, 1927 in Dauphin, MB. He was the son of Harold and Olive (nee Shannon) Thompson.

CHEPIL - Mrs. Jacqueline Chepil (nee Chipuer) of Yorkton entered eternal rest on Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was 65 years of age.
