Yorkton This Week

Jessica Kaiser stood in the middle of the St. Andrew’s basement. She was positioned between two tables loaded with greeting cards. They were decked out with festive designs, princesses, penguins, and other drawings. They were Kaiser’s handiwork.

Yorkton students got a chance to step out of class and learn about their fundamental rights at the SIGN building on Nov. 17.

Last week, the Yorkton Terriers Junior A Hockey Club made the announcement that the new head coach/GM of the team would be Mat Hehr.

BLOMMAERT - Margaretha Olivia Blommaert. May 31, 1950 - Oct. 28, 2017. Margaretha Olivia Blommaert of Nelson, BC passed away on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017. Born in Audenardi, Belgium, May 31, 1950, to Florent and Hendrika Blommaert.

JEWHURST - Sylvia (nee Kutcher) Jewhurst of Springside, beloved wife of Dave Jewhurst, peacefully left us to join the Lord on November 13, 2017 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. She was 72 years of age.

COGHILL - Mrs. Lily Margaret (nee Haw) Coghill passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the Canora Gateway Lodge in Canora, SK. She was 97 years of age.

GRIFFETH - (Richard) Lorne. November 10, 2017 at the age of 69, we lost an incredible man, (Richard) Lorne Craig Griffeth.

FEDOROWICH - Judy Fedorowich, resident of Extendicare Fairmont South in Lethbridge, AB, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the age of 52 years. Our dear sweet sister, Judith Terese Fedorowich, was born May 28, 1965 in Yorkton, SK.

KULLBERG - Mary Kullberg, resident of the Theodore Health Care Centre, widow of the late John Kullberg, passed away on November 14, 2017 at Theodore. She was 98 years of age. Mary was born on the family farm, in the Sheho district, on Sept. 19, 1919.
