Dear Editor: Today is not a good day for Canada. It is not a good day for the federation. It is a very bad day for the west.

Dear Editor: A big thank you to all those who attended our Canada 150 Heritage Dinner at St. Gerard’s Hall with guest speaker the Honorable Madam Justice Nancy Morrison.

Dear Editor, With the celebrations for Canada’s 150th anniversary coming to a close, I find this observation most appropriate to share with everyone regarding worship at this time. A time to reflect and give thanks to God for all our Blessings.

T he Saskatchewan Party leadership candidates have been coming through Yorkton, with only Tina Beaudry-Mellor being a stranger to these pages – though one assumes she will correct this oversight.

A Yorkton business has been ranked in the SaskBusiness Top 100 list for 2017. The Yorkton Co-op was placed 71st in the collection of top businesses in Saskatchewan. Last year they ranked 65th.

The smells of Thanksgiving filled the halls of Yorkton Regional High School (YRHS) last Friday. Serving tables were covered with mashed potatoes, gravy, perogies, and other autumn food staples.

The Yorkton Terriers and the Melville Millionaires had their first two-game series of the regular season in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League last weekend.

To say that Jackie Bundus is strong would be the understatement of the year. The 25-year-old from Yorkton is officially Canada’s Strongest Woman.

Calling all genealogists; beginners or seasoned researchers! The Yorkton branch of the SGS (Saskatchewan Genealogical Society) meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Yorkton Public Library.
