Yorkton This Week

With football season well under way, the Yorkton Minor Football teams have working hard in the Regina Minor Football league.

The Saskatchewan Choral Federation recognizes people who make contributions to the province’s choral community. Four awards were given out at their recent annual general meeting, three going to people from the Yorkton area.

It was a busy weekend for members of Skate Yorkton. Madison Bowtell represented Saskatchewan at the 2017 Sask. Skate in Regina in the U12 juvenile ladies. She won this event skating to a personal best score.

Sacred Heart High School travelled to Nipawin on Sept. 29-30 for the L.P. Miller Bear’s volleyball tournament. The tournament consisted of eight teams. Pool A consisted of Nipawin, Tisdale, PA St. Mary’s 2 and Humboldt.

The leadership contenders for the upcoming Saskatchewan Party leadership race are heading through Yorkton.
