Lesley Elizabeth Maddaford (72) of Yorkton, (formerly of the Saltcoats area) beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away suddenly on May 15, 2017. Lesley was born on January 5, 1945 in Worcester, England.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sheryle Roberts of Bangor on March 29, 2017. Sheryle was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Ruth Illingworth and her brother, Herb.

Morris Peterson was born January 27, 1936 on the family farm east of Rose Valley to the late Julius and Amelia (Degerness) Peterson.

A Yorkton judge has ordered psychological evaluations and presentence reports for two youths who pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the September 2016 killing of Lawrence Skoretz.

While two films would carry home multiple Golden Sheaf Awards following Saturday’s Yorkton Film Festival Gala Saturday, it would be a 15-minute documentary that took home Best of Festival. Fix and Release from Scott Dobson took the big prize.

Margaret Allegra Hansen passed away peacefully on May 17, 2017 in Yorkton, SK. She was born on March 15, 1927 in Melville, SK. Margaret was the sixth and youngest child born to Keith and Leida Profit.

Mrs. Lena Gogol of Yorkton, beloved wife of Andrew Antony, entered eternal life on May 16, 2017 at the Yorkton Hospital with her family by her side at the age of 85 years.
