Yorkton This Week

Today some of my readers didn’t have the luxury of waking at home, surrounded by the familiar, the comfortable, the beloved. Unwanted circumstances have transferred them elsewhere, and life’s ground feels, if not shaky, at least spongy. I understand.

A new club is forming in the city to promote radio controlled flying. While there has been a club and airfield south of Yorkton for years, it has tended to focus on gas-powered airplanes.

As movie tropes go, one of the classics is how villains in James Bond films always design some elaborate death for the super spy and then leave him unattended.

A youth film initiative through the Yorkton Film Festival has proven a huge success.

In terms of role playing games (RPGs), which I began writing about last issue, the granddaddy of the genre is clearly Dungeons & Dragons usually abbreviated as D&D.
