Recently, SaskTel announced that they have launched High Speed Internet in the resort communities of Crystal Lake and York Lake.

Just. Wow. I am rarely speechless, ask anyone, but this latest hate crime in Quebec City has me reeling. I just sat here at my computer for 20 minutes staring at a blank page. You will have to forgive me if what follows is a bit disjointed.

Saskatchewan Express was at Yorkdale School, working with the students to teach a bit of music and a bit of choreography, before putting on a performance with the kids in the afternoon.

On World Wetlands Day, the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) brought attention to the plight of Canada’s wetlands. Since settlement in Saskatchewan the province has lost 70 percent of its original wetlands in settled areas of the province.

Two school programs in Yorkton have received funding donations through DuPont Pioneer’s Full Belly! Full Mind! Initiative which supports nutrition and breakfast programs across Canada.

On Feb. 11 and 12, the provincial 4-H curling championships will be held at the Yorkton Curling Club. The host senior and junior teams will be competing, with opening ceremonies beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Feb.

The MC Knoll girls’ and boys’ basketball teams have teamed up with the Yorkton S.P.C.A. to launch a new campaign called Hoops and Paws. Their goal is to raise awareness around Yorkton about the S.P.C.A.

In the early morning hours of Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017, RCMP Canora members responded to a complaint of an erratic driver in the community of Canora. The incident has resulted in charges being laid against a serving member of Kamsack detachment. Sgt.

The Yorkton RawTec Maulers played three games in the past week in Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League action.

DuPont Pioneer has announced that as part of its Full Belly! Full Mind! initiative that supports nutrition and breakfast programs across Canada, $2,000 has been donated to Victoria School in Kamsack.
