Lola "Marie" Sletten was born on February 18, 1928 in Moose Jaw, SK. As an infant, she was adopted by Jack and Amanda Dyer from Bulyea, SK. She spent many happy years growing up in Bulyea with her adopted brother, Auldrich.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Adeline (Fullawka) Kirkham on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the age of 88 years. Adeline was born on December 29, 1928 in Tiny, SK, the ninth of Paul and Agnes Fullawka's 11 children.

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Bert Hasper announce his passing on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre, Yorkton, SK. He was 72 years of age.

Mildred (Mehrer) Slager was the 10th of 11 children born to Fred and Johanna (Meier) Mehrer on June 23, 1931 at Halbrite, SK.

Lilli Waltraut Minke, nee Wudke, died peacefully in Yorkton, SK on January 24, 2017 at the age of 93.

The Yorkton Terriers played three games in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League over the past week, as the fight for playoff contention continues. They added one win to their record, but took two losses.

The Sacred Heart Saints senior boys’ basketball team traveled to Lumsden last weekend to take part in their tournament. The Saints came out on top of the tournament, winning all three of their games.
