The Christmas break seemed a good one for the Yorkton Terriers as they returned to action with two wins over rival Melville. The first win after the traditional Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League break came Friday at the Farrell Agencies Arena.

You could almost hear the sound of the Saskatchewan economy retracting in response to recent comments by Premier Brad Wall.

MaryRose Yvonne Bielinski (Lamontagne) was born to Hector and Eva Lamontagne on December 23, 1935, in Windsor Lake District. She was the youngest of eight children; Romeo, Rita, Henry, Violet, Ida, Lucien, Rose and MaryRose.

Mrs. Betty Bittner passed away on Friday, December 24 at the Yorkton & District Nursing Home, Yorkton, SK. She was 89 years of age. Betty was born on August 6, 1927 in Russell, MB, the daughter of Nevil and Florence (nee Guyatt) Cuss.

The family of Shirley Anthony announces her passing with sadness, but also with thanks to God for the life of a wonderful wife; mother, baba, daughter, sister and good friend.

Liam Ryan Barabonoff passed peacefully in his mama’s arms on December 21. He was surrounded by his dada, big brother and sister, grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousins. He will be missed forever.
