The Yorkton Regional High School senior football team captured a win on their home field for the first game of playoff action. The score was 34-15.

The Sacred Heart boys soccer team are regional 2A champions after defeating Humboldt and Lake Lenore in the championships on Saturday in Humboldt.

Today is the day to vote in the City of Yorkton. People of the city will select the mayor and six members of council. Polls open at 9:00 a.m. and run until 8:00 p.m.

A former Yorkton gynecologist has pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting numerous patients between 2001 and 2008. Dr. Mohammed Haque was originally charged on February 2 of this year after six women came former with allegations.

A 50-year-old Yorkton man will be spending his weekends in jail until a 90-day sentence for child porn possession has been served.

A 25-year-old Yorkton man is headed to federal penitentiary having pleaded guilty to a May 15 home invasion and assault causing bodily harm.
