When the Weyburn Red Wings were in town on Sept. 21, some familiar faces were lined up against the hometown Yorkton Terriers. The Red Wing's Nick Pouliot, Donavon Lumb and Logan Herchak all played for the Yorkton Harvest in the SMAAAHL last year.

Last week, social media in the Yorkton area was abuzz with rumours of a possible bear sighting in the Ravine Ecological Preserve. Phil de Vos, one of Yorkton's bylaw officers, said it got a little blown out of proportion.

Yorkton's Atom Gridder football team fought to maintain their no-loss record in the final two games of the regular season, but slipped to 4-2 as they headed into one of four Bowl Games on Sunday, Sept. 29 at Regina's Liebel Field.
