The YRHS Raider Gridders senior football team have made their first two wins on the season look easy.

Yorkton Council amended the City's Zoning Bylaw at its regular meeting Monday to make way for a new medical centre and condominium complex. The new facility will be built at 16 and 20 Gladstone Avenue South.

The Mosaic Company announced yesterday it has donated to Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC) in support of wetlands preservation in Saskatchewan and wetlands restoration projects in the areas where Mosaic operates.

Mrs. Stella Uhryn of Yorkton, formerly of the Dneiper district, widow of Emil Miller Uhryn passed away peacefully on September 16, 2013. She was 91 years of age.

Yorkton Council approved the City's latest public accounts document. In accordance with The Cities Act and The Cities Regulations, the City of Yorkton is required to produce the public accounts document on an annual basis.

The Yorkton Arts Council is very pleased to welcome back Missoula Children's Theatre, marking the 25th year that MCT has visited Yorkton. This year's production is "The Secret Garden".

Lieutenant Governor Vaughn Solomon Schofield and Corrections and Policing Minister Christine Tell today recognized 40 men and women for career achievements in the provincial correctional services.

The Saints Senior Boys Volleyball team hosted its home tournament on September 13-14 at the Halo Dome. Eight teams were in attendance: Sacred Heart, Esterhazy, Yorkton Regional, Langenburg, Humboldt, Kincaid, Roblin and Melville.

The SHHS Sr. Girls Volleyball team went to Weyburn to take part in a 12-team tournament this past weekend. In the first match SHHS faced Souris, MB., winning two straight 25 - 17 and 25 - 16.
