Noreen Ochitwa of Hyas, SK, passed away at the William Booth Hospice in Regina, SK, on June 14, 2012, at the age of 76 years. Noreen was born on April 24, 1936, to Karl and Stephanie (Huber) Baer in Earl Grey, SK.

The 13th Annual Charity Golf Classic was a huge success with golfers raising $94,948 in pledges. The funds will purchase equipment for 14 facilities in 12 local communities in Sunrise Health Region.

For the second week in a row the lacrosse Bulldogs got scoring in bunches. This time it wasn't quite enough to win the game and coach Joe Choptuik said it was because they slacked off at the wrong time and suffered a one-goal loss.
