A high school robotics team will represent Canada at an international event in 2013, and Yorkton Council unanimously approved support for the students after a request Monday.

The Yorkton Cardinals were on an extended road trip this past week, playing four in Alberta and a pair in Swift Current. For the local team the results were mixed as they won two of the six Western Major Baseball League encounters.

Henry Degryse of Langenburg, SK passed away on May 23, 2012, at St. Anthony's Hospital in Esterhazy, SK, at the age of 92 years.

Elmer David Ochtiwa, 1933-2012. Elmer, son of the late Michael and Antonia Ochitwa of Yorkton, SK, passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on March 19 at his home in Lethbridge, AB. Elmer was born and grew up in Mikado, SK.
