Yorkton This Week

The Richardson Pee Wee Yorkton Cardinals and their Weyburn counterparts saw an awful lot of each other over the weekend. The teams met four times between Saturday and Sunday. Weyburn won three games, two of them came quite convincingly.

Each month a male and a female student is selected as the SHHS Saint of the Month. Saint of the Month students are nominated by staff and students of SHHS.

Grace Helen Ritchie was born on December 18, 1946 on the family farm in the Loyal District of SK, the daughter of William and Dorthy (nee Donaldson) Elaschuk. She grew up and attended school in that district.

Mrs. Ann Kaban of Yorkton entered eternal rest on June 12, 2012 at the Ituna Pioneer Health Care Centre. She was 82 years of age. Ann was born June 7, 1930 at Parkerview SK; daughter of Pete and Katie (nee Wenz) Zuchkan.
