No tax increase in operating budget

The 2012 Operating Budget for the City was presented, and passed at the regular meeting of City Council Monday. "The budget before you doesn't have a tax increase associated with it," Lonnie Kaal, Director of Finance with the City told Council.

City's Animal Bylaw given more bite

Yorkton Council unanimously passed the City's Animal Control Bylaw with a number of amendments. The Animal Control Bylaw has been reviewed with the Bylaw Control Officers, and through the Protective Services Committee.

The Sacred Heart Saints senior boys' volleyball team competed at the Hepburn Hawks tournament on Oct. 21-22. The tournament consisted of six teams: Hepburn, Clavet, Sacred Heart, Vonda, Borden and Perdue, said SHHS coach Curtis Moen.
