Melvin Dale Koroluk made his second appearance in Yorkton Provincial Court on Monday to face charges of assault, kidnapping, and unsafe storage of firearms. Koroluk, 57, is accused of abducting an 11-year-old girl at the Yorkton Exhibition in July.

The Saskatchewanderer marketing pilot project wrapped up this week after a summer of showcasing Saskatchewan sights. The project was to hire a summer student to blog about all the things that make Saskatchewan special.

Shane Varjassy was among the group from Kee's Tae Kwon Do in Yorkton that ventured off to Korea to take part in the 3rd Youth World Tae Kwon Do camp recently. Varjassy was part of a group that was invited to attend the seven-day camp.
