Residents of Saskatchewan are urged to take personal protection measures to guard against an expected increase in the number of Culex tarsalis mosquitoes, the species that carries West Nile Virus.

Yorkton Council has unanimously approved a project which will ultimately make creative use backwash wastewater from the City's new water treatment plant. The contract was approved at the regular meeting of Yorkton Council June 29. R.J.

The Yorkton Cardinals are finally taking flight in the Western Major Baseball League winning four games-in-a-row, and five of their last six.

On the day a wedding was scheduled for our church, I thought of the eggs. A killdeer had laid four of them dead centre in the gravel parking lot. A slight hollow sheltered them not at all, though their speckled coloring camouflaged them well.
