Sunrise Regional Health Authority commissioned a master capital plan for the health region and received the plan in October 2010. The top three priority infrastructure needs identified in the plan are in Yorkton, Canora, and Esterhazy.

In one of the more action-packed affairs hosted by the Yorkton Regional High School, the gymnasium had more then a few kids out watching their senior boys basketball team.

The Yorkton Terriers were well-represented when the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League announced its 2010-'11 awards. Leading the way were team Captain Blaine Tendler and head coach Trent Cassan.

Kamsack RCMP are requesting the public's assistance in locating Ira Preston Cook. Cook, who is 13 years of age, went missing on Saturday, March 5 at approximately 3 pm. Cook was last seen on the Cote First Nation at the rink attending a carnival.

The Seventh Annual Abominable Snow Slam went by Saturday afternoon at Dr. Brass Elementary School.The martial arts showcase went on until about 6 p.m.

Rodney Ridge, located on Roslyn Avenue was full of adventurers seeking fun and sun on the weekend. The warm weather was a great opportunity for those looking to partake in a little toboganning or just get outside and relax.
