Aerating a water body helps prevent winterkill, which occurs when aquatic plants either die or reduce their oxygen production, leading to fish kill.

The U12 Yorkton United Bulldogs soccer team travelled to Saskatoon December 10th for their second tournament. All the games were closely contested and it came down to a few plays for their two losses.

A pot-luck Christmas social was held at the Dubuc Memorial Hall on Sun., Dec. 19 with over 60 people in attendance. Everyone filled up on the delicious supper dishes and fabulous desserts.

The first baby of the new year, Sydney Monica Lloyd Anderson, was born at Yorkton Regional Health Centre at 3:35 am on January 1. Sydney is the daughter of Tracy Walter and Gary Anderson of Russell, MB.
