Drowning Prevention Week is taking place in Saskatchewan from July 18-25. The week is organized by the Lifesaving Society to educate the public about the hazards on, in and near the water.

If Bon Jovi is 75% of what they were in Winnipeg over the weekend, then rock music fans in Regina will be in for a treat on July 28. I have seen Bon Jovi three or four times in my lifetime and they were the best this past Saturday in Winnipeg.

Walker out of jail

Kim Walker is out of prison and back in Yorkton - at least for now. The father convicted of second-degree murder for the 2003 killing of his daughter's boyfriend has been released on bail pending his new trial.
