Man driving tractor uses firearm to threaten motorist: Pierceland RCMP

Police say a man driving a green tractor hauling hay bales is suspected of threatening a person with a firearm on Wednesday.

PIERCELAND – Police are searching for a man, driving a green tractor hauling hay bales, who is suspected of threatening a motorist with a firearm on Wednesday.

Pierceland RCMP say that about 11:55 a.m. on Aug. 2, they got a report of an armed man on Highway 55 east of Pierceland. A motorist had stopped his vehicle at the side of Highway 55 when a man approached him and threatened him with a firearm. The victim got back into his car and drove to safety and called police. He didn’t report any physical injuries to police.

Police did patrols searching for the suspect and they continue to investigate. Pierceland RCMP ask members of the public to report all information about this incident to police.
