N. B'ford RCMP Gang Task Force seizes firearm, charges two people

When police stopped the vehicle they observed open alcohol, methamphetamine, and weapons in the vehicle.

BATTLEFORDS – Two people face weapons-related offences following a traffic stop by the Battleford’s RCMP Gang Task Force and Battlefords RCMP.

On Oct. 21, officers stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of 103 Street and observed open alcohol, methamphetamine, and weapons in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a firearm.

Jessie Beaudry, 35, of Saskatoon, and Jade Lonesinger, 27, of North Battleford were remanded in custody after appearing in North Battleford Provincial Court Oct. 23.

Beaudry is charged with possession of a firearm knowing unauthorized, possession of a firearm in a vehicle, unsafe storage of a firearm, four counts of possession of a weapon contrary to a court order, two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and failing to comply with a probation order.

Lonesinger is charged with possession of a firearm when unauthorized, possession of a firearm in a vehicle, unsafe storage of a firearm, two counts of possession of a weapon contrary to a court order, two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and failing to comply with an undertaking.
