Prince Albert RCMP investigating fatal rollover

A 21-year-old man from James Smith Cree Nation has died in a single vehicle rollover.

On March 25, at about 7:47 a.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report of the rollover. Officers responded immediately along with the local fire department and EMS.

PRINCE ALBERT — A 21-year-old man from James Smith Cree Nation has died in a single vehicle rollover on Coxby Road, southeast of Prince Albert.

On March 25, at about 7:47 a.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report of the rollover. Officers responded immediately along with the local fire department and EMS.

A passenger in the vehicle was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. His family has been notified.

The driver of the vehicle was airlifted by STARS Air Ambulance to hospital. Two other passengers in the vehicle were taken to hospital by EMS. The driver and the two passengers have injuries described as non-life threatening.

Prince Albert RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
