Two people have died in a fatal house fire in Regina Saturday morning.

The Regina Police Service is working with the Regina Fire and Protective Services (RFPS) and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service following a fatal house fire.

Police were called to a home in the 800 block of Rae Street shortly after 8:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found a home completely engulfed in flames. Two of the residents of the home were outside and appeared to have minor injuries. They told officers that two adults were still inside the home.

RFPS and EMS arrived a short time later. RFPS worked to get the remaining two residents out of the top floor of the home, as well as get the fire under control. The two adult residents pulled from the home were pronounced deceased on scene.

At this time Fire Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire. In addition to providing traffic control and providing assistance to those affected by the fire, officers secured the scene and will remain on site until the investigation is complete.
