Of the charges, 26 were laid under the Traffic Safety Act (TSA) and four under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).

Police made five arrests as a result.

At the man’s home police seized 23 firearms, a crossbow, and approximately 100,000 rounds of ammunition.

One male sustained minor burns to a hand and was treated by SFD paramedics. Two others were treated for lacerations to their hands sustained from breaking the protective cover of the fire extinguisher cabinets.

Callers told police that a male had entered the restaurant and began swinging a knife, threatening to harm individuals inside. No one was injured.

No one was inside but a dog was found safe inside.

The initial police investigation determined a vehicle struck a child, who was later pronounced deceased at the local clinic. The child has been identified as a six-year-old girl from Dillon.

Police found a man on the sidewalk suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

RCMP say a man sprayed bear spray into a crowd and three youth received first aid at the scene. Police believe there are additional victims who have not yet spoken to police.
