The fire investigator accredits the early warning of smoke alarms to alerting the occupants of the house. Everyone was able to safely get out without injuries.

A 21-year-old man has been charged with possession of a dangerous weapon after allegedly pointing an airsoft pistol at people.

Danton Dumont was remanded in custody and has a show cause hearing in Canoe Lake Cree Nation Circuit Court Aug. 10.

Crews were able to contain the fire to the basement.

Vernon Knorr, who is from Edam, will spend 60 days in Saskatchewan Hospital in North Battleford.
