Unity RCMP receive complaint of assault that results in six charges for 27-year-old

A stolen vehicle complaint in Macklin results in an arrest and charges are pending after the subject of complaint drove truck into a residence in Macklin. The matter is still under investigation

UNITY REPORT

RCMP charged one youth from Unity with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Flight from Police Officer and Mischief and another youth from Unity was charged with Flight from Police Officer and Mischief after colliding with a parked car while trying to flee from Police attempting a traffic stop.

A 27-year-old male from Unity was charged with Assault of Police Officer, Assault, Resist Peace Officer, Mischief, Intimidation of a Justice System Participant and Fail to Comply with an Undertaking Condition after Members received a complaint of assault.

Police received a complaint of harassing communications but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Members are investigating a complaint of extortion.

CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction in Unity. Reported for information purposes.

Members received a request to assist Animal Protection Services with an animal welfare complaint.

RCMP conducted a well-being check at the request of a family member.

CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction near Senlac. Reported for information purposes.

There was also one traffic complaint, one false alarm and one false 911 call.

WILKIE REPORT

RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

Police are investigating a complaint of a break and enter at a residence.

Members conducted a well-being check at the request of a family member.

CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction in a rural area near Reford.

An individual reported finding a wallet. The wallet was returned to the owner.

RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

Police received a report of an abandoned vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a complaint of a break and enter at a residence but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

RCMP received a complaint of damage to a residence. This matter is still under investigation.

Members acted as mediators in a dispute between two adults.

There was also one false alarm.

MACKLIN REPORT

RCMP received a complaint of theft. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a report of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was located in the ditch, was not stolen and was not a traffic hazard. Members attempted to contact the registered owner without success.

Members received a complaint of a stolen vehicle. The subject of complaint drove the truck into a residence in Macklin. The subject of complaint was arrested, and charges are pending. This matter is still under investigation.

There were also two false alarms.
