The Yorkton RawTec Maulers are struggling early in the Saskatchewan AAA Midget Hockey League. The Maulers have found only one win in nine starts for two points to sit 11th in the 12-team league.

The Yorkton Maulers scored their first victory of the regular season last weekend, hopefully laying the groundwork for more victories after a series of disappointing showings.

The Yorkton Terriers dropped a pair of weekend home games. The losses leave the Terriers with a 2-4-1 record and five points for third place in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s Viterra Division.

Young players within Yorkton Minor Hockey will have an organization-wide training program to improve skills this season.

The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season began for the Yorkton Terriers on Sept. 14. Unfortunately, the Terriers’ first game of the season was a 6-4 loss in Weyburn. Greg Mulhall opened the season scoring for the Terriers 10:39 into the contest.

The Yorkton Terriers are back on the ice preparing for the upcoming Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season.

While summer sports start to wind down as we reach the latter half of August, Yorkton athletes are aiming for spots on the ice. Several local hockey players are heading out for Western Hockey League (WHL) camps this week.

The Yorkton AAA RawTec Midget Maulers held their spring camp on the weekend in conjunction with the Junior Terriers. Kevin Rawlick, coach of the Maulers, said the joint approach worked well.

Terriers head coach Mat Hehr said he is pleased with the results of the team’s spring camp held at the Farrell Agencies Arena on the weekend.

The Core Real Estate Atom AA Terriers capped off a very successful 2016/17 season as league champions on Mar. 25 in front of supportive fans at Farrell Agencies Arena.
