It was a busy weekend for the Yorkton RawTec Maulers of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League. The team played four games in five games.

On Tuesday, Jan. 24 the board of directors of the Yorkton RawTec Maulers announced that they have released Graham Garrett as general manager and head coach of the Maulers Midget AAA hockey team.

The Yorkton RawTec Maulers of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League had one game over the past week. It was played on home ice at the Farrell Agencies Arena – their first game at home since returning from the Christmas break.

Over the past week, the Yorkton Terriers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League played two games, both of which were on the road. On Friday, Jan. 13, the Terriers headed to Flin Flon to play the Bombers.

The Spengler Cup, held each holiday season in Davos, Switzerland has a history dating back to 1923. This year, Team Canada won the title, and there was a local area connection to the winning team.

The Yorkton Terriers played three games in Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League action over the past week. Two games were played on the road and one at home at the Farrell Agencies Arena.

The Yorkton Xerox Terriers of the Saskatchewan Bantam AA Hockey League have had an outstanding season so far.

On Monday, Jan. 9, the Yorkton Terriers attended an informational session about First Nations communities, culture and ways in which sports can aid in reconciliation across Canada.

The Yorkton RawTec Maulers of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League have returned to play after taking a couple of weeks off for the Christmas holidays. The Maulers have played two games in the new year, both on the road.
