The City of Yorkton was home to a 16-team pee wee hockey tournament this past weekend. Teams from Saskatchewan and Manitoba competed over three days to see who would win the coveted tournament championship.

The up and down Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season of the Yorkton Terriers continued this past week. In fact, the swings in fortune were in some ways encapsulated in Flin Flon last Tuesday.

With a trio of wins over the last seven days the Yorkton Xerox Terriers of the SBAAHL have ran their league-best undefeated streak to 22 games.

It has been an eventful week for the Yorkton RawTec Maulers.

It might have been a match-up between two of the biggest rivals in the SJHL, but you wouldn’t have known it in a New Year’s Day game which lacked intensity.

As the games went on it seemed like we lost our legs and just didn’t have a high enough compete level to come back...
