A preliminary hearing for a Calgary man charged with killing a Saskatchewan man didn’t proceed in Calgary Provincial Court on Nov. 10 as scheduled.

At their latest COVID-19 news conference on Tuesday, the province announced what they describe as a one-month slowdown to try and curb the increase in COVID-19.

Submitted The following measures are in effect as of 12:01 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19. They, and all other public health measures, will be in effect until Dec. 17 and then subject to review by the provincial Chief Medical Health Officer.

There are 240 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on November 17, 2020, bringing the provincial total to date to 5,422 cases.

Town council in Battleford has officially held its first meeting of the new term on Monday night.

The City of North Battleford has officially sworn in the new mayor and council. Their first meeting of the new term was a ceremonial one held at the Dekker Centre for the Performing Arts on Monday.

Battlefords RCMP are looking to the public for assistance in locating 35-year-old Stephen Lee Moosomin from Saskatoon. Moosomin was previously involved in a break and enter at a residence in June 2019.
