North Battleford city council got its latest update on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on city finances at its meeting Monday.

Building permits for 2020 are much better than they were to this point last year in North Battleford.

For the first time since a new spike in cases took place in the southwest and west central part of the province Premier Scott Moe and Chief Medical Health Officer Saqib Shahab addressed the issue in a press availability on Tuesday.

The Town of Battleford is looking at resuming live council meetings starting next month.
