Despite a soft month of August for values, building permits are still ahead for the year in North Battleford. For the year through August, 89 permits have been issued for $16,785,600, compared to 85 for 16,691,625 the year before.

More than 7,000 illegal marijuana plants have been seized from an operation near Marcelin, according to RCMP.
