Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship Industry Scholarships have been awarded to 100 graduating high school students in 72 communities across the province this year, including several from the Northwest.

The Town of Battleford is expecting another colourful parade this year. Parade entry forms are available on the Town’s website. The town’s 35th annual parade will take place Aug. 10 and will start and finish at St. Vital School.

Biggar RCMP have charged 31-year-old Travis Stehr of Paradise Hill following an assault that occurred June 4 in the RM of Biggar. Stehr is charged with assault with a weapon and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, both criminal code offences.
