North Battleford Comprehensive High School student Ahmed Ali has earned a $1,000 RBC bursary at graduation to help him pursue engineering at the University of Saskatchewan in the fall.

Who does not support the notion of “fairness”? Everything is better when it is endorsed. Even defeat is more pleasant when it is fair and square. It is one of those warm-blanket words that no one disputes.

Bye Braun of Cut Knife will be inducted into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame, Individual Category, as a Player/Builder Aug. 18 in Battleford for his contribution to Saskatchewan baseball history.

An early morning fire on 111th Street in North Battleford resulted in a power outage, according to the North Battleford Fire Department Firefighters were dispatched to the blaze at 941 – 111th St. at 2:54 p.m. Tuesday.

North Battleford Fire Department doused a structure fire Sunday on the 1100 block of 102nd Street. According to a fire department news release, the fire crews were dispatched at 4:36 a.m.
